The Brawlhalla Community Tournament Initiative supports grassroots tournament organizers and grassroots events. Whether you are a seasoned organizer, a caster looking to break into the scene, or new to tournaments, the BCTI Discord is the best place to find like minded Brawlers to help you take things to the next level.

https://github.com/BMG-Esports/gjallarhorn/- Gjallarhorn is a tool for Brawlhalla community tournament producers to generate formatted JSON files for esports tournament stream overlays. Gjallarhorn can generate JSON files for multiple use cases, including tickers, casters, lower thirds, queues, players, and games. It pulls data from start.gg, challengermode.com, and the Brawlhalla Stats API.

prostats.brawlhalla.com- Access the full history of Official Brawlhalla Esports tournaments. For any competitive player, you can look up all of their lifetime statistics, what Legends they have reported, and compare them against another player. This also works for doubles teams. Data can also be filtered to the year, as well as to include Tier 1 BCTI community events or not.

- Unlocked Stances for all legends
- All Stances are automatically unlocked in Offline Tournament Lobbies.
- Custom names for players
- When hosting a local tournament you can have custom names visible on streams and recordings instead of only seeing “Player 1”, “Player 2”, etc.

- Structure
- The BCTI is divided into two tiers.
- Tier 1 events receive additional support and funding. Each Tier 1 Tournament Organizer has an individual agreement with Brawlhalla.
- Tier 2 events are open for anyone to apply for. Up to eight events are accepted for each month. These events will receive prizing as detailed in the document below.
- Tier 1 Organizers will have the opportunity to remain a Tier 1 organizer at the start of each year.
- Tier 1 Organizers are accepted via application. Applications will open from time to time as Tier 1 spots open up.
- BCTI Tournament Requirements and Application Process
- Each month up to 8 Tier 2 tournaments will be accepted into the BCTI.
- Those 8 tournaments will receive prizing and an in-game listing in the Esports tab. The prizing splits will follow what is listed below.
- Tournaments will be accepted on a case-by-case basis through the application form in the Discord. Keep in mind that if your tournament is accepted one month, it does not mean you will be accepted the following month.
- Tournaments will only be accepted if they meet or exceed the quality requirement below.
- Tournament Formats
- Double Elimination
- Use In-Game settings for Tournament 1v1 or Tournament 2v2
- Tournament Organizers who want to run tournaments for other game modes such as BrawlBall, KungFoot, Crew Battles, should indicate so on the application form.
- Tournaments for other game modes or formats will be considered on a case by case basis. If approved, tournament format will be communicated to the tournament organizer.
- Double Elimination
- Tournaments must be open to a full region and not restricted to a specific country.
- Tournament Payouts
- Tier 1 tournaments are handled with individuals on a case by case basis
- Tier 2 tournaments will follow the following payout structure
- 1v1 Tournaments: 1st Place – 240MC, 2nd Place 200MC, 3rd Place 160MC
- 2v2 Tournaments: 1st Place – 480MC, 2nd Place 400MC, 3rd Place 320MC

- Robust Organizer Experience

- We’re looking for organizers that have previously run quality events, either in Brawlhalla or other similar fighting games. All BCTI events are strongly encouraged to use Challengermode. Other Platforms may be accepted on a case by case basis.

- Your competitions all need a stream in order to qualify for the BCTI. Broadcast quality should be medium to high quality and consistently run from the beginning to the end of your event. Make sure you can provide videos from previous tournaments!
- Quality Production includes:
- On-screen Talent who have cameras & microphones
- Robust Graphics with a minimum of:
- Scoreboard
- A Two Box or other graphic that shows the talent, and includes their names/tags/socials
- Starting Soon Slate/ Be Right Back Slate / Thanks For Watching
- #BHCommunity must be integrated into the title and graphics of the broadcast

- Your tournament pages should clearly communicate rules and information to your attendees and spectators. Rulesets, streams, schedules, servers, and other relevant information should be easily accessible, and relevant features should be properly utilized on the tournament platform.
- Submitted by Deadline

- In our Discord channel, we will announce the deadlines for submission if your event falls in a certain window. If you miss this deadline, you can still submit to be added to the monthly community tournament post and shouted out on the dev stream, but you will not be eligible for prizing or advertising within the client.
